Greetings to All,

We hope that this finds you and your family safe and well during these troubling times.

The decision has been made to cancel the IMDPA Conference and Golf Outing for this May, 2020 in Oak Brook IL

We have been monitoring the situation and working with the Hilton Hotel in Oak Brook IL to determine if it was practical to proceed and successfully hold the conference this May. We have determined given the current COVID-19 crisis, it is in the best interest for everyone’s safety that we CANCEL the 2020 IMDPA Conference.

For any of you who have registered, made reservations and sent money in for sponsorship and table tops, your money will be fully refunded. 

Other IMDPA traditions continue…

The deadline for the Excellence in Quality Contest submissions has been extended to June 15, 2020 to give participants more time to prepare their entries during this difficult time.  We will announce the winners via email, on social media and in a special mailing. Download Entry Form

We are still conducting our Scholarship Awards program and will announce recipients early June. Award checks will be processed in time for the students to resume studies as we usually do. There are a few days left to apply. Deadline is March 31st. Apply for Scholarship

Our Education Committee has been working with Universities with schools of packaging on a design competition for students to earn scholarships. Chairman John Clark leads the charge and will develop a plan to continue to facilitate the program.

We will still honor our Decorators of the Year and announce the nominees via email and on social media this summer. The Deadline for nominations is April 30, 2020. Nominate a Decorator And last, but certainly not least, we will award our 2020 Member of the Year during our October Board meeting. The winner will then be announced via email and on social media.

We will maintain our Newsletter Publications as planned. We had one scheduled to be sent in March but held back as we needed to make copy changes based on the current information. The issue will be revised and sent out in the coming weeks.

Lastly, we have worked out details with the Hilton Oak Brook Hill Resort & Conference Center to bring the IMDPA Conference back bigger and better than ever in May 25-27, 2021.
