At the end of March, Bunting’s Marketing Director Michael Wilks retired and concluded his memorable career at Bunting. Having spent 23 years with the company, Michael has been a core member of the management team, overseeing a prestigious period of sales growth and company acquisition. Please join us all in raising a glass to Mike and thanking him for his great contribution to the industry. You will be very much missed!

In a new feature, Daniel Hilfiker, President of Pneumofore, unveiled the green path to low life cycle cost and minimal environmental impact with durable, high-efficiency compressors and vacuum pumps. More than 50% of the electric power used in a can factory is spent for running air compressors and vacuum pumps. The continuous availability of pneumatic energy is a pillar in 24/7 can production. Industry experts carefully choose equipment, considering the total Life Cycle Cost, with a keen focus on electric power consumption and maintenance costs that span for decades.

Preparations for Latamcan 2024 are well underway and it promises to be a great event. The numbers support this, with a whopping 101 exhibitors, 187 canmakers representing 98 can making companies and organisations from 19 countries, plus 278 executives representing 149 companies that supply equipment, raw materials, consumables, services and technology from 20 countries confirmed.
