As the evenings get longer (thank goodness!) and the weather a little sunnier, we’re so pleased to see the UK opening up again – we’ve certainly visited several pub gardens over the last few weeks! It looks as if the pub industry is set to boom over the summer, hopefully providing some welcome relief to a struggling industry.
Some more welcome news has seen aluminium beverage can recycling levels reaching record levels, with the environment agency reporting that aluminium beverage can recycling hit its highest ever rate in 2020 – an impressive 82%. This represents a year-on-year increase of 6% in a market that saw significant growth. Find out more here.

We were also pleased to see that local brewery Curious Brewery has been bought by new owners. The brewer is famous for producing fantastic beer and we hope that the management team will inject some new life into the company along with the new canning line.
