Where has the year gone? It seems like no time ago at all since we were at Metpack in early May and now it’s the start of Autumn in the UK, Summer (what summer?) is over unless we’re going to get an Indian version, although we’re not holding our breath here at Canmaking News.

Net sales in the second quarter were $2,161 million compared to $2,142 million in the second quarter of 2016, reflecting increased global beverage can volumes and the pass through of higher raw material costs, partially offset by $48 million of unfavourable currency translation.
