HIGH DAYS AND HOLIDAYS
It might be the silly season here in the UK, aka the slow news season, as it’s known in the US, but even though traditionally the dog days of summer are renowned for being a bit empty of other than frivolous news, we’ve still managed to gather enough stories about what’s occurring in the world of metal packaging to fill the issue.
In News in Brief, it won’t surprise you hear that much of the news is to do with canned beverages, both soft and alcoholic, where the industries involved are endlessly innovating, whether it be in developing new flavours and products, ingenious packaging solutions and design, or improving the means to get products on the market more efficiently than ever. For instance, Huss Brewery launches new beers in cans and Ball mimics the Italian Pint for Crak Brewery.
In our World News section this month, you can read about mergers and acquisitions and successful collaborations. These include Tata Steel and Thyssenkrupp who announce their European Steel Merger and Larson Tool who team up with Nidec Minster.
We have chosen to feature Larson Tool in this issue as a Company Profile. You can read it in our World News section. If you would like your business to be part of this new feature in subsequent issues, just contact us, with details of your company: what you do, where you are, and your website.
New venture for Canmaking News
And last, but definitely not least, in case you haven’t heard, we are branching out and this December our very first printed Canmaking News Annual will be going to press for release in January 2019. For a great reminder of the top stories from the previous year, our first issue will contain snippets of news, features, events and information published online during 2018. In other words, ‘The Best of Canmaking News’.
If you want the opportunity to be part of our exciting new venture, please see our advertising costs. And if you haven’t already taken advantage of our online advertising options, we can include that in your media campaign for next year.
Just contact us to discuss all the new and dynamic openings we can offer to publicise your business. Our aim is to help promote you and, of course, our amazing industry.
If you have some great news about your company or your products – let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll shout it from the Canmaking News rooftops.
