We were thrilled to return to the IMDPA (International Metal Decorating and Packaging Association) Annual Conference, which this year took place on September 26-28 in Itasca, Illinois, USA. Day one opened with the keynote speech from Gus Reall, CEO of Stolle Machinery, discussing Substrate v Sustainability, stating that “there is no alternative to the metal can”. Meanwhile, Miltec UV’s Bob Blandford was awarded IMDPA Member of the Year. Bob has been given this award to acknowledge his service and great work for the industry. One of the highlights of the conference saw the winners of the sought-after Excellence in Quality Awards announced at the annual Awards Luncheon. Each winning individual, company, product or print is chosen by a group of members and recognised for their achievements and contributions to the industry. Congratulations to all our winners! Find out who they are here.

These principles were endorsed by an ideologically diverse group of organisations; one year later, support for these recycling refund programs continues to grow. Recently, groups including the Alliance for Mission-Based Recyclers, The Association of Plastic Recyclers, C3 Solutions, and National Taxpayers Union joined as the latest endorsers of these principles. You can find out more detail about the programmes here.
