Autumn is well and truly upon us and if you’re in the UK you’ll have noticed a dip in temperatures (sorry we’re British – we’re obsessed with the weather!). We’re anticipating many new autumnal and festive themed beverages and foods so please do send us anything new you might be working on in that arena.
The start of the month we were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Extraordinary until the end, the Queen exemplified selfless leadership and an unwavering commitment to the people she served. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the Royal Family at this time.

Germany’s only tinplate manufacturer, Thyssenkrupp Rasselstein GmbH, is expanding its sustainability strategy and is now offering customers in the packaging industry additional options for reducing CO2 emissions. Read more here.
Heineken Vietnam has opened an expanded brewery in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province Saturday, now the biggest in Southeast Asia and using 100% renewable energy. The Dutch brewer had bought the plant, which had an annual capacity of 30 million liters, from Danish brand Carlsberg in 2016. Find out more here.
American Canning is bringing technologically advanced, globally-trusted Aluminum Toyo Ultimate Can (aTULC) manufacturing to Austin, Texas with the opening of a can manufacturing facility in 2022. True to American Canning’s vision of finding innovative and approachable advances in can packaging supplies, the aTULC line was developed by Toyo Seikan (Japan) to match the environmental impact of the manufacturing process to the infinite recyclability of an aluminium can.
