Ireland’s DRS collects 900 million bottles and cans in its first year

Figures released by Re-Turn, the operator of Ireland’s DRS, showed that 900 million bottles and cans had been returned since the scheme was introduced. Since the scheme’s launch, Re-turn’s network of Deposit Return Points has increased by over 800. There are now 2,600 “reverse vending machines” (RVMs) operational and 470 manual return points across Ireland….
