THINGS ARE HOTTING UP NICELY, AND IT’S NOT JUST THE WEATHER…
This time last year we were apologising for the weather, not that it was our fault of course, but it was just rain, rain and more rain. What a difference a year makes, now in the UK, we’re having one of the finest summers for years.
The weather isn’t the only improvement we’re seeing – in our World News section you can read how metal recycling in Europe has hit new heights, beyond expectations and ahead of the deadlines set by the EU.
In News in Brief we look at some of the other main stories in the industry: mergers and acquisitions, innovations, celebrations and awards.
Our Feature this month takes you on a journey of fascinating ingenuity, which takes a disc of aluminium and transforms it into a 2-piece beverage can. The quite brilliant ‘Engineer Guy’, Bill Hammack, has produced a video that we’ve included at the end of the article – it makes for very engaging watching.
If you have some great news about your company or your products – let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll shout it from the Canmaking News rooftops.
